About Assurex
Assurex is a digital engineering agency delivering enterprise platform work for clients including The AA, SCI, KPMG, Synlab, VFS Global, Abu Dhabi Ports, DIFC, GEMS Education and Jumeirah. We operate across the UK, UAE, India and the US with a dual-shore delivery model.
We are building out a dedicated Salesforce capability alongside our existing composable content, commerce and experience practices. This is a founding role in that practice.
The role
You will own Salesforce architecture at Assurex - technical design authority on client engagements, and the person who builds the practice around it: standards, reusable assets, hiring, and pre-sales credibility. You'll work directly with client-side CTOs, CRM owners and transformation leads, and with our US, UK and UAE commercial teams on solution shaping and bid response.
What you'll do
Architecture and delivery
- Act as design authority across Salesforce engagements - Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud and Agentforce
- Translate ambiguous business requirements into scalable, well-governed technical designs, and defend those designs to senior client stakeholders
- Define integration architecture across enterprise estates - REST/Platform Events, middleware patterns, identity and access, sharing and visibility models
- Own non-functionals: performance, security, data architecture, governor-limit discipline, release and environment strategy
- Set and enforce engineering standards - code review, PR governance, CI/CD, deployment and rollback plans
Practice building
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of developers and QA engineers; grow it from a founding core
- Build reusable IP - accelerators, reference architectures, delivery playbooks - that shortens time-to-value on recent engagements
- Drive AI-first adoption across the team (Agentforce, Einstein, CRM Analytics), embedding it in how we design rather than bolting it on
Commercial
- Support pre-sales: solution architecture, effort estimation, technical sections of RFP and tender responses
- Represent Assurex in client workshops, discovery sessions and partner conversations
- Contribute to Salesforce partner relationship development and certification coverage across the team
What you'll need
- 812 years in Salesforce, with meaningful time as an architect rather than a senior developer
- Salesforce Certified System Architect and Application Architect (or clear evidence you're within reach of both)
- Demonstrated ownership of integration architecture at enterprise scale
- Experience leading distributed teams of 10+ across development and QA
- Consulting or agency background - comfortable being client-facing, working across concurrent engagements, and operating without a fixed brief
- Excellent written and spoken English; able to hold your own with a client CIO
Nice to have
- Prior experience in tier-one SI environment
- Experience standing up a practice or capability from a standing start
