01Overview
The role
Roughly half your time is pre-sales and solutioning; a third is building the AIOnMS practice (offerings, reference
architectures, demos, accelerators); the rest is architecture governance across live projects with the technical
leads. This is a hands-on-keyboard architect role for demos, PoCs and reference builds not a
people-management chair.
Key responsibilities
Pre-sales and solutioning (40%)
Lead discovery workshops; design end-to-end solutions spanning D365 CE/ERP, Power Platform, Microsoft
Fabric, Azure AI/Foundry and M365 Copilot.
Own the technical side of proposals, RFP/RFI responses, effort estimation and pricing inputs; present
architectures to executives and IT leadership.
Build and deliver demos and time-boxed PoCs including agent, RAG and Copilot scenarios that win
deals.
AIOnMS practice building (20%)
Productise the AIOnMS portfolio: AI readiness assessments, Fabric lakehouse starter architectures, agentic AI
patterns (Copilot Studio, Foundry Agent Service, MCP), Copilot value cases.
Create and maintain reference architectures, estimation models and reusable accelerators; keep them
current with the Microsoft AI roadmap (Foundry, Fabric IQ, Agent 365).
Build the flagship demo environments the sales motion runs on, and the case studies that follow early wins.
Architecture governance, mentoring and delivery (40%)
Chair design reviews with the technical leads; own cross-stack integration architecture (Dataverse,
dual-write, Azure Integration Services, APIs, eventing).
Set security, data-governance and responsible-AI guardrails (Entra, Purview, Foundry evaluations) as part of
every solution.
Mentor leads and consultants on AI-era solution patterns; remain the final technical authority on customer
commitments.
Take overall technical quality ownership of Octaware deliveries
What we deliberately do not expect
Deep hands-on development mastery of all three Dynamics 365 stacks our technical leads own that depth in
their areas. We need architect-level breadth across the estate, genuine depth in at least one stack plus the Azure
AI/data layer, and the judgment to orchestrate specialists. If you are deep in one Dynamics workload, fluent in the
Microsoft AI stack, and have won deals, you should apply.
Must-have skills and experience
1015 years in Microsoft-ecosystem consulting, with 5+ years as a customer-facing solution architect on
enterprise engagements.
Depth in at least ONE of: D365 Customer Engagement, D365 ERP (F&O or Business Central), or Power
Platform with working architecture knowledge of the other two.
Demonstrable AI solutioning on the Microsoft stack: Azure OpenAI / Microsoft Foundry, RAG and AI Search
patterns, Copilot Studio or agent frameworks at least one production deployment or substantial customer
PoC you personally architected.
Data architecture literacy: Microsoft Fabric (or Synapse-era) lakehouse concepts, Power BI and semantic
models enough to design and defend an end-to-end data + AI architecture.
A verifiable pre-sales record: RFP/RFI responses you led, estimation models you built, demos you delivered,
and deals you helped win.
Integration architecture across the estate: Dataverse, dual-write, Azure Integration Services, API and
event-driven design.
Executive-grade communication in English; comfortable owning the room with CIOs and business sponsors.
India + GCC/international customer exposure preferred.
Good to have
Certifications: PL-600, AZ-305, AI-102, DP-600/DP-700, or MB-series architecture tracks.
Microsoft Purview, responsible-AI frameworks (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF awareness), and Copilot licensing /
value engineering.
Exposure to agent interoperability standards (MCP, A2A) and non-Microsoft models (e.g., Claude on
Foundry).
Domain experience in Manufacturing, Real Estate, BFSI or Healthcare. .
