About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and highly driven Principal Startup Investments & Investor Relations to join our team.
This is a dual-focused role covering Lead Startup Scouting & Investment Sales. The candidate will be responsible for identifying and evaluating promising startups while also actively engaging with investors on a daily basis, understanding their investment interests, presenting suitable prospects, and driving investment closures.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of the startup ecosystem and investment products, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and a proven ability to convert investor relationships into investment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Startup Scouting & Investments
Identify and source promising startups across relevant sectors and investment themes.
Conduct initial screening and evaluate startups based on business model, market chance, financials, traction, team, and scalability.
Build and maintain strong relationships with startup founders, accelerators, incubators, and the broader startup ecosystem.
Coordinate and support due diligence, investment analysis, and preparation of investment proposals.
Track the startup investment pipeline from sourcing to closure.
Monitor portfolio companies and provide regular updates on investment performance and developments.
Lead Investor Relationship Management
Communicate with investors on a daily basis and develop solid, long-term relationships.
Understand investors' investment objectives, risk appetite, sector preferences, ticket sizes, and portfolio requirements.
Maintain regular communication with existing investors and keep them informed about relevant investment opportunities.
