A Snapshot of Your Day
This role is being created to support the growing scale and digitalization needs of Compression bids within Siemens Energy. To increase agility, transparency, and execution discipline in the Bid Management process (BMP), a dedicated senior individual contributor is required to own defined Bid Management (BM) charters and lead their integration across the Sales Phase.
The position focuses on three primary areas: continuous improvement of endtoend Bid Management processes for complex engineeredtoorder equipment, enablement of practical AI capabilities embedded into bid execution, and coordination of system and platform enhancements supporting these objectives. The role acts as a functional leader working in a global environment with Business Improvement, BM, Engineering, Digital, and Sales teams across multiple regions and time zones to ensure competitive, compliant, and efficient bids for Compression Packages.
How Youll Make An Impact
40% Bid Management Platform & Process Ownership
Act as a lead contributor and charter owner shaping Siemens Energys integrated BM platform across the Sales Phase connecting engineering inputs, cost estimation, risk management, approvals, and proposal documentation.Run assigned BM charters as structured programs, including roadmap definition, prioritization, milestone planning, and dependency management.Define platform priorities and functional requirements based on real bid execution needs.Ensure process consistency, governance, and data quality across regions and bid types.
30% Digitalization & AI Enablement in the Sales Phase
Identify and drive practical AI use cases that improve bid quality, speed, and risk visibility, including cost benchmarking, cycletime analytics, risk detection, and compliance support.Ensure AI capabilities are embedded into existing bid workflows and support expert decisionmaking rather than replacing it.Collaborate with Digital and IT teams to translate BM requirements into scalable and sustainable solutions.
30% Stakeholder Alignment & Change Enablement
Act as a single point of accountability between BM and crossfunctional stakeholders (e.g., Product Owners, Digital Specialists, Scrum Masters).Own testing, deployment, and rollout charters to drive adoption of new tools, processes, and AIenabled capabilities through structured change management and active user engagement.
What You Bring
Bachelors degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical , or a related field.8+ years of experience in BM or Sales Phase execution within rotating equipment or capital equipment environments in Energy Industry.Strong handson experience with complex, highvalue bids for engineeredtoorder equipment in Oil & Gas or Energy markets.Proven experience acting as a platform owner, process owner, or functional lead without direct people management responsibility.High digital affinity with experience working on integrated tools, analytics, or AIenabled capabilities.Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across a global, matrix organization.Willingness and ability to collaborate effectively with global teams across different time zones and travel internationally up to 20% as required.
