Role Description
A procurement pharmacist manages the purchasing, supply chain, and inventory of medicines to ensure clinical availability, cost-effectiveness, and compliance. Key duties include managing drug orders, negotiating with suppliers, auditing stock levels, and coordinating with clinical teams to prevent shortages, often with a focus on high-value or contracted items.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Supplier & Contract Management: Negotiating with pharmaceutical suppliers, managing, and maintaining compliance with national or local contracts.
Inventory Control: Monitoring stock levels to prevent shortages or excess inventory, conducting regular stock checks, and managing distribution.
Procurement Operations: Placing orders, processing invoices, and overseeing the receipt of goods.
Strategic Sourcing: Identifying reliable suppliers, evaluating products for quality, and selecting vendors based on compliance and cost.
Clinical Collaboration: Aligning inventory with clinical needs by engaging with clinicians and pharmacists.

Typical Qualifications and Skills
Valid Pharmacist license.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical supply chains, procurement software, and hospital inventory systems.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Experience: Candidate should have experience of 5 years working in a Company dealing with Domestic & International supplies related Tenders of Pharmaceuticals & Surgical Goods.
Detail-oriented with strong documentation and organizational abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Willing to travel
