Function India BUPay Band M3 to M5Role Product Designer - MerchandiseA purpose driven role for you The Product Designer is responsible for blending a strong design background with deep product sensibility to create compelling, trend-forward merchandise that resonates with our target audience. This role requires a high degree of creative expression, technical proficiency in industry-standard design tools, and the ability to seamlessly collaborate with external design agencies. The incumbent will own the end-to-end design lifecycle, from conceptualization and agency briefing to the final approval of production-ready files.A Day in the life Build on brand design briefs Producing high-quality, brand-aligned design briefs that are handed over to the design agency for execution Build seasonal and core design direction On-boarding & managing external design partners to deliver high-quality work efficiently and on-brand Building and executing an operating rhythm of regular check in and feedback to ensure timely and high quality delivery on design Delivering precise, error-free design files and tech packs to manufacturing partners Support sourcing team on sample development and sample sign offs Academic Qualification & Experience B. Des. / M. Des. (Apparel design, Graphic design) from Premier institute 8-10 years of relevant experience in merchandise design, apparel graphics, or product design within a premium fashion brandTechnical Skills/Knowledge Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite- Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign Experience with 3D design software (e.g., CLO 3D, Blender) or CAD is a strong plus Exceptional eye for typography, color theory, layout, and print/pattern development.
