01Role Overview
PDI Software is looking for a Product Owner II to support and enhance our consumer-facing loyalty platform, with a primary focus on product maintenance, stability, and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for triaging and prioritizing customer-reported issues, ensuring timely resolution, and driving high-quality fixes through to production.
The Product Owner II will also coordinate and manage standard monthly release cycles, working closely with other Product Owners, engineering teams, and key stakeholders to ensure smooth, predictable, and high-quality deployments. This role requires strong operational discipline, attention to detail, and the ability to balance reactive maintenance work with planned release commitments.
As a critical member of an Agile development team, the Product Owner will partner with Product Managers, Engineering, Support, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes that improve platform reliability and customer satisfaction.

02Responsibilities
Stay aligned with and contribute to the product vision, roadmaps, and priorities
Own and prioritize the maintenance backlog, with a strong focus on triaging and resolving customer-reported issues
Partner closely with Support teams to intake, investigate, and document production issues
Act as the primary point of contact for defect lifecycle management, from intake through resolution and deployment
Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of bug fixes and maintenance enhancements into production
Coordinate and manage monthly release cycles, including scope alignment, dependency tracking, and readiness validation
Collaborate with other Product Owners to consolidate and finalize release scope and timelines
Drive release planning activities, including backlog readiness, stakeholder communication, and risk mitigation
Author and publish detailed release notes and customer communications for all maintenance and monthly releases
Monitor production issues and trends to identify systemic improvements and reduce recurring defects
Ensure proper documentation of defects, root cause analysis, and implemented fixes
Balance backlog priorities between maintenance, defects, and minor enhancements
Work closely with system users (customers, partners, consulting) to understand product issues and needs
Translate business and technical requirements into clear, actionable user stories with defined acceptance criteria
Attend sprint planning meetings and work with the team to define sprint goals
Guide Agile teams in breaking down user stories and defining acceptance criteria
Ensure product backlogs are prioritized and aligned with team capacity and velocity
Conduct backlog refinement meetings, sprint reviews, and product demos
Collaborate with engineering teams during sprints to clarify requirements and ensure desired outcomes
Manage product backlog in ALM tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms
Ensure adherence to release governance, deployment processes, and quality standards
Track and report on key maintenance and release metrics (defect volume, resolution time, release quality, etc.)
Qualifications: 4-6 years of experience working as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role
At least 2+ years of experience working as an Agile Product Owner
Experience managing production support, maintenance backlogs, or defect triage processes
Experience coordinating releases or working within structured release cycles (monthly or quarterly)
Strong understanding of the software defect lifecycle, root cause analysis, and issue prioritization
Proven ability to manage competing priorities between planned work and unplanned production issues
Highly motivated self-starter with a desire to take ownership and drive outcomes
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical terms
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to influence decisions and drive alignment without direct authority
