About the Role We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Product Sourcing / Procurement Intern to support our sourcing and procurement team in identifying products, coordinating with suppliers, comparing quotations, and assisting in the end-to-end procurement process. The ideal candidate should have good communication skills, basic knowledge of Excel, strong follow-up skills, and an interest in retail, products, sourcing, and vendor management. Key Responsibilities Assist in identifying and sourcing new products from manufacturers, wholesalers, suppliers, and online/offline markets. Research and identify potential vendors and suppliers based on product requirements, pricing, quality, and availability. Coordinate with suppliers for product catalogues, samples, quotations, pricing, MOQ, lead time, and payment terms. Compare vendor quotations and prepare comparative statements for management review. Maintain and update supplier and product databases. Assist in negotiating prices, MOQ, delivery timelines, and other commercial terms under the guidance of the procurement team. Follow up with suppliers regarding orders, production, dispatches, and deliveries. Coordinate with internal teams such as Sales, Merchandising, Warehouse, Finance, and Product teams. Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of products. Assist in checking product samples, specifications, packaging, and quality requirements. Monitor market trends, competitor products, pricing, and new product opportunities. Maintain proper documentation related to vendors, quotations, purchase orders, and procurement activities. Prepare regular reports and MIS related to sourcing and procurement. Support the team in other procurement and product sourcing activities as required. Required Skills Good communication and negotiation skills. Strong follow-up and coordination abilities. Basic to intermediate knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets. Good analytical and numerical skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to research products and identify potential suppliers. Good organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team. Willingness to learn about procurement, sourcing, vendor management, and retail operations. Educational Qualification Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Retail Management, or a related field. Freshers and candidates with relevant internship experience are welcome to apply. Preferred Skills Interest in retail, toys, stationery, kids products, FMCG, or consumer products. Knowledge of basic procurement processes. Familiarity with online supplier platforms and market research. Previous experience in vendor coordination or sourcing will be an added advantage.
