Role Overview
As a Network Engineer at Fiserv, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and monitoring wide area and local area networks of businesses and organizations. Key Responsibilities
- Solid understanding of networking principles, including the internet protocol suite, subnetting, and VLANs.
- Design and implement efficient network architectures.
- Proficiency in configuring and operating network devices.
- Knowledge of network security measures like VPNs, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Ability to monitor network performance, analyze traffic patterns, and optimize network as needed.
- Proficiency in coding languages such as Python for automating network configuration and management tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve network issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working in multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to multitask, manage network projects, prioritize duties, and meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure network integration with other systems.
- Follow up with stakeholders for change requests and closure.
- Experience in full software development life cycle using agile methodologies.
- Good understanding of Agile methodologies and ability to handle agile ceremonies.
- Efficient in reviewing, analyzing, coding, testing, and debugging of application programs.
- Ability to work under pressure to resolve critical issues in production environment.
- Good communication skills and experience in working with clients.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelors degree in programming or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in network administration.
- Availability from 17:00 p.m - 03:00 a.m (IST).
- Knowledge of Tuffin or any Firewall Management & Network Security Policy Software.
- Experience in LAN, WAN, and wireless network design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Proficient in troubleshooting network devices including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Experience working with ServiceNow or any ITSM tool.
- Ability to manage and prioritize work queue across multiple workstreams.
- Team player with the ability to work independently.
- Good understanding of the banking domain.
