What you'll do
As an Infrastructure Engineer, youll take the lead on designing intuitive, self-service database products that make all the difference to our customers, as well as our strategic targets. This is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career in a highly innovative and supportive environment.
Youll collaborate with product owners to create roadmaps and manage the lifecycle, taking customer feedback, new feature requests and production issues into consideration. As you continue to manage the selection, creation and maintenance of database-related technologies, youll ensure that our solutions comply with the banks requirements and responsibilities.
Youll also:
Identify new ways to solve problems and enhance performance using tech toolsProvide operational support for pattern or product-related issues, and contribute to the delivery of infrastructure as code solutionsBuild awareness of design-thinking tools and techniques across the bank to improve productsWork with key stakeholders to ensure that we continue to deliver the best possible service
The skills you'll need
To thrive in this role, youll have experience in software development or automation scripting, such as Python or Shell. Youll be knowledgeable about the software development lifecycle, with experience of utilising modern infrastructure as code via tooling.
Well expect you to bring a good understanding of Agile working practices and toolsets, with the ability to create the vision for the Release Train, feature team, platform and domain.
In addition, youll have:
Minimum 10 years of experience in Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or related cloud platform rolesleast five years of strong experience in AWS products & services, with strong focus on security, and controlsExtensive automation experience with demonstrable skills in IaC using Terraform, and PythonPractical experience of designing, and using CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, automated testing and deploymentsSoftware development or scripting skills, with experience of the SDLC along with good understanding of Agile methodologies and toolsets such as JiraDrive to make sure that solutions have security considered from the outsetGreat collaboration and stakeholder management skillsCapacity to focus on the customer, empathise with them and influence to achieve the right outcomeHours
