Purchase Executive Construction Location: Kochi, Kerala Experience: Minimum 3+ Years Qualification: Any Bachelor's Degree Job Summary We are looking for a dynamic and experienced purchase executive to join our construction team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in procurement within the construction industry and be capable of managing the complete purchasing process, from vendor sourcing to material delivery. The candidate should possess strong negotiation skills, market knowledge, and the ability to ensure timely procurement of quality materials at competitive prices. Key Responsibilities Procure construction materials, equipment, tools, and services as per project requirements.Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions to achieve cost-effective procurement.Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers and prepare comparative statements.Issue purchase orders and ensure timely processing and follow-up.Coordinate with project managers, site engineers and accounts to understand procurement requirements.Monitor material deliveries to ensure they meet project schedules and quality standards.Maintain strong relationships with vendors and negotiate long-term agreements where applicable.Track market price fluctuations and recommend cost-saving opportunities.Ensure purchased materials comply with project specifications and company quality standards.Resolve supplier issues related to shortages, delays, quality concerns, and invoice discrepancies.Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase orders, quotations, invoices, and vendor documentation.Coordinate with the finance department regarding vendor payments and reconciliation.Monitor inventory levels and support stock planning to avoid shortages or excess inventory.Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.Required Skills Minimum 3+ years of experience in purchase within the construction industry.Strong knowledge of construction materials, vendors, suppliers, and market pricing.Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.Good analytical and decision-making abilities.Strong communication skills.Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).Experience with ERP or procurement software will be an added advantage.Strong documentation and organizational skills.Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple departments and project sites.Qualification Any Bachelor's Degree.Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction procurement.Language Requirements Candidates should be able to communicate in: EnglishMalayalamHindiTamilPreferred Candidate Profile Experience in purchasing materials for commercial, residential, healthcare, hospitality, or industrial construction projects.Strong network of construction material suppliers and vendors.Excellent negotiation and cost-control abilities.Willingness to travel to supplier locations and project sites when required.Compensation: 25,000.00 - 30,000.00 per month Education: Bachelor's (Required)Experience: Purchase Executive Construction: 3 years (Required)Language: English (Required)Malayalam (Required)Tamil (Required)Hindi (Required)Willingness to travel: 75% (Required)Work Location: In person .
