Key Responsibilities 1. Receive approved material requirements, BOMs and purchase indents from the sales, engineering and panel-manufacturing teams.
Send RFQs to approved vendors and obtain competitive quotations from multiple suppliers.Prepare purchase comparison sheets covering basic price, discount, GST, freight, payment terms, warranty and delivery time.Negotiate prices, credit terms, freight, delivery schedules and commercial conditions with vendors.Verify the exact make, model number, technical suffix, quantity and specification before issuing a purchase order.Prepare and release purchase orders only after obtaining internal approval.Follow up with suppliers from PO acknowledgement until complete material delivery.Purchase automation and electrical products such as PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, switchgear, MCCBs, MCBs, contactors, relays, SMPS, cables, terminals, lugs, panel enclosures and other accessories.Develop new vendors and alternative sources without compromising approved makes or technical specifications.Coordinate with sales, engineering, stores, panel manufacturing, logistics and accounts teams.Monitor urgent and shortage materials to prevent delays in panel production or customer dispatch.Maintain vendor master data, purchase registers, open-PO trackers, delivery schedules and pending-material reports.Coordinate material returns, shortages, incorrect supplies, warranty claims and replacements with vendors.Check supplier invoices against approved purchase orders before submission to accounts.Maintain confidentiality of vendor prices, discounts and commercial terms.
Candidate
Requirements 16. 2-5 years of experience in purchase or procurement, preferably in industrial automation, electrical panels, machine manufacturing, switchgear or electrical-project companies.
Diploma/BE in Electrical or Electronics is preferred. Graduates with strong electrical-purchase experience can also apply.Ability to understand electrical BOMs, product specifications and detailed model numbers.Good knowledge of MS Excel, quotation comparison sheets, purchase orders and purchase trackers. 20.
Experience with Tally, ERP or another purchase-management system is preferred.
Strong vendor-development, negotiation and material-follow-up skills.Good attention to detail and commercial accuracy.Working knowledge of Gujarati, Hindi and basic business English.Ability to commute regularly to Vatva GIDC.Two-wheeler and driving licence are preferred for occasional local vendor visits.
