Job Title: Purchase Assistant Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu Experience Required: 0 - 1 year / Fresher Qualification : Bcom, BBA, MBA, MCOM, BCA, Bsc Industry: Manufacturing / Consumer Goods (Toy Industry Preferred) Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Assistant for procurement and vendor management. The role involves supporting the purchase team in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, ensuring timely availability of quality products at competitive prices to meet business needs. Key Responsibilities - Assist in sourcing, vendor identification, and supplier relationship management. - Identify, evaluate, and on board vendors/suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and components specific to the toy industry. - Obtain and compare quotations to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality compliance. - Process purchase orders, follow up on order confirmations, and track delivery schedules. - Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information. - Coordinate with the production and inventory teams to ensure timely material availability. - Monitor stock levels and raise purchase requisitions accordingly. - Assist in negotiating contracts, payment terms, and delivery timelines with suppliers. - Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards specific to toys and childrens products. - Support in resolving supplier issues, discrepancies in invoices, and delays in deliveries. Skills & Qualifications - Bachelors degree/Diploma in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field. - Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and inventory control. - Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) - Good negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
