About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Purchase Executive to support our procurement operations. You will manage the end-to-end purchase cycle from vendor sourcing to order tracking and invoice processing ensuring timely availability of automation components and materials for project execution.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Raise and process Purchase Orders (POs) based on internal requisitions and approval workflows.
- Source and evaluate vendors for automation components, electrical parts, mechanical assemblies, and consumables.
- Obtain competitive quotations and negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions with suppliers.
- Coordinate with vendors for timely deliveries; follow up on pending and delayed orders.
- Maintain and update vendor master database, rate contracts, and approved vendor lists (AVL).
- Verify invoices against POs and delivery challans; coordinate with accounts for payment processing.
- Record and update purchase data in ERP / procurement software; maintain pricing and stock level logs.
- Coordinate with the stores/warehouse team on Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) and inventory reconciliation.
- Assist in preparing MIS reports, purchase summaries, and cost analysis for management review.
- Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, approval hierarchies, and budgetary limits.
- Handle urgent or ad-hoc procurement needs with minimal lead time.
Key Skills Required
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables), Word, and qualified email communication.
- Basic understanding of automation industry components (PLCs, sensors, panels, cables) is a plus.
Soft Skills
- Good negotiation and vendor communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail with ability to multitask under deadlines.
- Proactive, organized, and a quick learner.
- Team player who works well across departments (projects, accounts, stores).
Qualification
- 0.5 -1 year experience
- Bcom/ BBA/Diploma/btech/BE. .
