Purchase Manager (Refractory Background Preferred)

Role & responsibilities Following, respecting & establishing all EHS guidelines, protocols etc in workplace.Ensuring 5S at workplace.Coordinating with QC teams for Incoming materials inspection and Rejection handling.Plan and coordinate Inbound shipments of raw materials/chemicals/packing materials/consumables (domestic and Imported) in line with production schedules.Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders and customs agents to ensure on-time delivery.Manage all Import documentations (Bill of Lading/ Certificate of origin/ LC/BG, custom clearance papers).Coordinate with warehouses/stores/ QC for GRN (goods Receipt Note) processing and Material inspection.Ensuring issuance of purchase order as per note sheet and follow up with vendor for vendor registration, ABG etc before place purchase order.Ensuring delivery of raw materials/chemicals/packing materials/consumables as per the terms of P.O.Ensuring unloading of raw materials/chemicals/packing materials/consumables properly along with proper documents.Monitoring of inventory levels of key Raw materials to avoid stockouts or Overstocking.Ensuring accurate records in SAP systems stock taking and match with book stock on regular basis.Analyse and report on Inbound KPIs (lead time, cost per ton, On-time delivery)Ensuring participation in KAIZENS (improvements jobs)Ensuring proper housekeeping after job completionAllocation of manpower and taking work from contractor/contract workers. .
