Position Details Experience: 4+ Years (Mandatory) Location: Madurai (Remote) Work Mode: Remote Shift Timing: 11:00 AM 8:00 PM IST Employment Type: Full-Time Contract Duration: Initial 3-month contract with potential extension Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Python Developer with a strong focus on IoT Integrations and MQTT-based communication. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience developing scalable backend applications using Python, FastAPI, MQTT, PostgreSQL, and InfluxDB. The role involves integrating IoT devices, enabling real-time communication, and building secure, scalable backend services for connected systems. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and FastAPI. Build and maintain RESTful APIs for IoT platforms and connected devices. Implement and manage MQTT-based communication for real-time device messaging. Integrate and manage communication with IoT devices and edge systems. Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases. Work with InfluxDB or other time-series databases for telemetry and sensor data. Integrate backend services with third-party APIs and applications. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security. Troubleshoot production issues related to backend services and IoT connectivity. Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and IoT stakeholders. Required Skills (Mandatory) 4+ years of professional experience in Python Development Strong proficiency in Python Hands-on experience with FastAPI Strong experience in IoT Integrations (Mandatory) Strong knowledge of MQTT Protocol and MQTT Brokers (Mosquitto, EMQX, HiveMQ) (Mandatory) Experience building RESTful APIs Good knowledge of PostgreSQL database design and optimization Experience with InfluxDB or other Time-Series Databases Strong understanding of IoT Architecture, Edge Devices, and Device Communication Familiarity with Git Experience with Docker and Containerized Deployments Basic knowledge of Linux environments Preferred Skills Experience with Celery and Redis Knowledge of WebSockets for real-time applications Familiarity with Azure or AWS Knowledge of CI/CD Pipelines Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 4 years of professional experience in Python Backend Development with hands-on IoT Integration experience.
