01Overview
Job Purpose:
The QA Tester plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. As an integral member of the Scrum team, the QA Tester collaborates closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, design test cases, and rigorously test software to identify and rectify defects before release.
Essential Functions:
- Test Planning:
- Collaborate with the Product Owner and team to understand user stories, acceptance criteria, and product functionality.
- Design detailed test plans, test cases, and acceptance tests for each sprint.
- Manual Testing:
- Execute manual tests based on the requirements and test plans.
- Identify, log, and prioritize defects and inconsistencies.
- Automated Testing:
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts.
- Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests with the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) process.
- Collaboration:
- Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate closely with developers to ensure defects are understood and resolved.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Offer feedback in retrospectives to continuously improve testing processes and practices.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in QA testing.
- Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of tests, defects, and test outcomes.
- Update testing documentation based on changes in processes or tools.
- Environment Management:
- Coordinate with the IT or DevOps team to ensure test environments are set up and maintained.
Education:
- Four years of college resulting in a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses:
- Any professional certification preferred.
Experience:
- 3-6 Years

- Proficiency in QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
