Roles and Responsibilities :
- Review medical records, including radiology reports, to accurately code diagnoses using CPT codes.
- Identify potential denials and take steps to resolve them before submitting claims to insurance companies.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate documentation of patient care services rendered.
- Analyze data from various sources (e.g., EMR systems) to identify trends and areas for improvement in coding compliance.
Job Requirements :
- 2-5 years of experience as a medical coder or radiology coder.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology principles related to radiology procedures.
- Proficiency in ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS Level II codes; ability to learn current codes quickly. .
