Roles and Responsibilities :
Review medical records, including radiology reports, to accurately code diagnoses using CPT codes.
Identify potential denials and take steps to resolve them before submitting claims to insurance companies.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate documentation of patient care services rendered.
Analyze data from various sources (e.g., EMR systems) to identify trends and areas for improvement in coding compliance.
Job Requirements :
2-5 years of experience as a medical coder or radiology coder.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology principles related to radiology procedures.
Proficiency in ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS Level II codes; ability to learn new codes quickly. .
