R&D Software Engineer (C++)

Key Responsibilities Develop and implement software solutions using C and C++ with a focus on design patterns, data structures, and algorithms Work with Hardware Description Languages including Verilog, System Verilog, and VHDL to create robust EDA tools Collaborate with multi-functional teams to understand customer needs and deliver solutions that address real-world challenges Contribute to code quality through peer reviews and consistency to guidelines Participate in technical discussions and share knowledge with team members Support the development and maintenance of EDA software across multiple platforms Qualifications Required: Bachelor's or equivalent experience or Master's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field from a recognized engineering institution At least 2 years of Industry experience with proficiency in C or C++ programming with understanding of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms Working knowledge of at least one Hardware Description Language: Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work effectively in team environments Verbal and written communication skills Preferred: Experience with scripting languages Hands-on experience with version control systems such as Perforce Understanding of gate-level digital logic design Experience in EDA software development Experience with parallel algorithms or job distribution Why Us At Siemens Software, flexibility is how we workhybrid by default, built on trust and autonomy.
