01Key Responsibilities
Billing and Claims Management:
Prepare and submit accurate claims for ABA, PT, and OT services under Part B guidelines.
Verify patient eligibility, authorizations, and coverage details.
Monitor and resolve billing errors, denials, and rejections promptly.
Medicaid Billing:
Ensure compliance with Medicaid billing requirements and procedures.
Stay updated on state-specific Medicaid policies and regulations.
EMR System Utilization:
Efficiently navigate and utilize the InSync EMR system for billing and documentation.
Maintain accurate records of billing activities and patient information within the EMR.
Communication and Coordination:
Collaborate with clinicians and administrative staff to gather necessary documentation and resolve discrepancies.
Communicate with insurance providers to follow up on claims and secure payments.
Provide billing-related support to patients and families as needed.
Reporting and Documentation:
Generate and review reports to ensure billing accuracy and identify trends in claim denials or delays.
Maintain organized and compliant billing records for audits and reviews.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing for ABA, PT, and OT services.
Proven experience with Medicaid billing processes and requirements.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with the InSync EMR system or similar electronic medical records systems.
Strong understanding of Part B billing practices.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with insurance authorization and claims submission processes.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
Skills:
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in medical billing and coding.
Prior experience working in a multidisciplinary therapy practice or clinic.
Work Environment: This position is fully remote. The candidate must have reliable access to secure internet and a quiet workspace.
