SECTION III: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Regional Business Leader is responsible for driving end-to-end business performance of the Small Enterprises portfolio across the assigned geography, through effective leadership of Cluster Business Leaders (CBLs) and their respective RM teams.
The role entails strategic planning, business delivery (Assets & Liabilities), portfolio quality management, ecosystem expansion, and team capability building, with a strong focus on profitability and risk-adjusted growth.

Strategy and Planning
Drive regional business plan aligned to Zonal and National objectives across:
Asset growth (Working Capital, Trade, Term Loans)
Liability franchise (CA/SA, CMS, float balances)
Fee income (Trade, FX, CMS)
Identify high-potential clusters, markets, and ecosystem opportunities to scale the SE portfolioBuild anchor-led and supply-chain ecosystems to deepen market penetration
Ensure balanced growth between NTB acquisition and ETB deepening.
Policies, Processes & Procedures
Ensure adherence to:
Regulatory and compliance standards
KYC / AML / trade compliance norms
Drive process efficiency and turnaround time (TAT) across onboarding & servicingStrengthen data discipline, reporting accuracy, and governance frameworks
Business Development
Own delivery of regional budgets (Assets, Liabilities, Income, Fee)Drive wallet share enhancement across existing relationshipsMonitor and improve portfolio productivity metrics:
Income per RM
Limits vs utilization
Cross-sell ratios (Trade / FX / CMS)
Ensure disciplined pipeline build-up and conversion tracking
Maintain portfolio quality within defined risk appetiteProactively track and act on:
Early Warning Signals (EWS)
Slippages and NPA movement
Security erosion / inadequate collateral cases
Drive collateral hygiene (valuation, CERSAI, documentation)
Minimize additional provisioning impact through timely corrective actions
People Management
Build relationships with:
Key clients and promoters
Industry bodies, trade associations, consultants
Drive ecosystem-led sourcing (CA networks, vendor-dealer chains, etc.)Enhance customer engagement and retention through structured coverage model

Essential: PG Any specialization, CA
Preferred: PG Any specialization, CA
Experience
Essential: 18 years in Commercial Banking / MSME / Trade Finance
Minimum 8 years in team leadership role managing multi-layer teams .
