Overview
As a Relationship Manager - Employee Banking at Standard Chartered, your role involves creating and delivering proposal presentations for your assigned portfolio. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients, driving revenue growth through existing and new customer acquisition, and achieving individual and group sales targets. Your key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and acquiring new clients and planning acquisition strategies
- Cross-selling and upselling banking products including investments, insurance, loans, and credit cards
- Managing both assets and liabilities portfolios
- Resolving customer queries and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Leveraging opportunities from new and existing client relationships
- Fulfilling corporate employees banking needs including payroll and retail products
- Driving referrals and supporting the employee banking agenda
- Ensuring error-free customer applications and documentation
- Practicing responsible and responsive selling
- Conducting due diligence (CDD) and following risk management practices
- Ensuring zero tolerance for fraud and mis-selling
- Adhering to all regulatory, compliance, and anti-money laundering policies
- Reporting suspicious activities to relevant authorities
- Participating in training and continuously upgrading product and market knowledge
Qualifications required for this role include:
- Graduate degree (MBA preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of sales experience in FMCG, office automation, or retail banking
- Knowledge of deposit and asset products (preferred)
- Understanding of target market and customer segments
- Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Good interpersonal skills and team-oriented mindset
- Ability in prospecting, cross-selling, and upselling
- Strong time management and willingness to learn
- Completion of required certifications for selling wealth products
