Remote Accountant, Captive and Insurance Management

(SRS) is the worlds largest independent insurance company manager, and they are seeking an accounting professional to join their US West Captive Management servicing team. The Accountant will manage the financial and regulatory affairs of a portfolio of captive insurance companies, ensuring high-quality financial reporting and compliance. ResponsibilitiesWork with an experienced client account team to deliver high quality financial and regulatory reportsMaintain and reconcile General LedgerPreparation and peer review of monthly and quarterly financial statementsPrepare and file premium tax returnsAccurate and timely preparation of regulatory filingsDaily verbal and written client communicationsManage client financial auditsPreparing for and attending client Board of Director meetingsLiaise with clients third party service providers and state regulatorsSkills Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required2+ years financial accounting experience in public or private sectors; direct captive management experience a plus; will consider internships as equivalent experience for entry level candidatesExperience with Excel and financial accounting/general ledger accounting softwareAbility to work effectively as part of a team or on individually assigned tasks in an environment where attention to detail and prioritization skills are essentialExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to travel up to 5% domestically as neededCPA a plus but not requiredInsurance accounting and auditing experience preferred; will consider commercial or public accounting experienceBenefitsOffering a competitive salary, bonus plan, and a generous benefits packageOpportunities for rewarding growth and advancementAn environment of genuine equity and inclusionCompany-wide network of colleagues committed to each others, as well as the Companys, successCompany Overview SRS has been providing management and consulting services to the insurance and alternative risk financing industry for the past 25+ years.
