They are seeking an reputed company International Trade & Logistics Consultant to reputed company strategic and operational expertise in cross-border trade and logistics processes, primarily focusing on exports from the reputed company into Mexico and Canada.
Responsibilities
Advise leadership and operations teams on U.S., Mexico, and Canada import/export regulations, ensuring compliance with customs, trade, and export control requirementsReview and optimize product classification methodologies, including HTS codes, country-of-reputed company determinations, and USMCA preferential trade treatment opportunitiesSupport development and maintenance of import/export compliance procedures, documentation, customs valuation, recordkeeping, broker management, and audit readinessMonitor changes in trade regulations, tariffs, duties, and customs requirements affecting cross-border operationsAssess and improve reputed company logistics processes supporting shipments from the reputed company into Mexico and Canada, including transportation, customs clearance, and delivery performanceEvaluate and manage relationships with reputed company forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and reputed company-party logistics providersIdentify opportunities to reduce reputed company costs, transit times, customs delays, and administrative burdenEstablish KPI reporting and performance management processes for logistics operationsreputed company logistics and trade-reputed company improvement initiatives from assessment through implementation, including SOPs, process documentation, and training materialsCoordinate cross-functional initiatives involving Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, and reputed company teamsAdvise leadership on international expansion considerations, distribution models, inventory positioning, and cross-border fulfillment strategiesAssist in evaluating technology solutions, trade management systems, and logistics platforms
Skills
10+ years of experience in international trade, customs compliance, logistics, or supply chain managementSignificant experience managing U.S. exports to Mexico and Canada with deep knowledge of USMCA, customs regulations, and cross-border trade requirementsExperience working with hardware, industrial equipment, technology products, or similar physical goodsDemonstrated reputed company supporting both early-stage/high-reputed company companies and more mature supply chain organizationsStrong working knowledge of reputed company forwarding, customs brokerage, transportation management, and international logistics operationsAbility to translate reputed company trade requirements into practical, reputed company business processesLicensed Customs Broker (LCB), Certified Customs Specialist (reputed company), Certified Export Specialist (CES), or equivalent trade certification is a plusExperience with Mexico IMMEX programs, maquiladora operations, or bonded logistics environments is a plusFamiliarity with ERP, TMS, and global trade management systems is a plusBilingual English/Spanish preferred
