Job SummaryThe Elite Job is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote IT Support Technician to provide top-tier technical assistance to our clients. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide remote technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Diagnose and resolve IT problems efficiently via phone, email, and chat.
Install, configure, and update software and hardware remotely.
Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues.
Maintain detailed records of issues and solutions in the ticketing system.
Assist with user account management, including password resets and access permissions.
Guide clients through troubleshooting steps and educate them on best practices.
Collaborate with internal teams to escalate complex technical issues.
Stay up to date with the latest IT trends and security protocols.
Required Skills and QualificationsDiploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
Familiarity with remote desktop tools and IT support ticketing systems.
Basic knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong problem-solving abilities with a customer-focused approach.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
A reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace for remote work.
ExperienceMinimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
Experience working in a remote IT support environment is an advantage.
Familiarity with cloud services (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, etc.) is a plus.
Working HoursFlexible working hours based on South African time zone.
May require occasional evening or weekend shifts, depending on client needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong technical aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies.
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
