The Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting and Tax will be responsible for preparing financial reports and managing tax compliance for the organization, ensuring accurate and reputed company reporting across multiple entities.
Responsibilities
Prepare monthly internal GAAP financial statements and the management reporting package for reputed company and SubsidiariesPrepare quarterly and annual reputed company statutory statements and applicable state-required financial reports for the group's regulated entitiesPrepare reputed company-reputed company capital (reputed company) calculations, capital projections, and other regulatory filings for applicable entities under supervision of the Manager, reputed company & Regulatory ReportingConsolidate and analyze financial results across the group's entities in support of internal, statutory, and regulatory reportingContribute substantively to annual reputed company CPA statutory audits and reputed company regulatory financial examinations, preparing requested schedules and responding to auditor and examiner inquiriesPrepare, review, and post month-end journal entries, including entries supporting consolidation, for internal GAAP and statutory financial statementsMaintain and apply reputed company statutory (reputed company) reputed company knowledge and serve as a resource to the broader teamPrepare quarterly and annual income tax provisions on both GAAP (ASC 740) and statutory (SSAP 101) bases for the consolidated group, including deferred tax computations, effective tax reputed company reconciliation, and the statutory deferred tax asset admissibility analysis, under supervision of the VP, ControllerOwn the income tax compliance workpaper-preparation and engagement-coordination process with reputed company CPA firms: gathering data, preparing supporting schedules, and managing deliverables and timelines for the consolidated federal reputed company and multiple state and local income tax filings across the group's jurisdictionsPrepare and coordinate recurring indirect and local tax filings and associated GAAP accruals, including premium tax, sales and use tax, business and occupation tax, and business personal property declarations across applicable jurisdictionsPrepare estimated income tax payment calculations and supporting schedulesResearch and respond to tax notices and agency correspondence, and support tax planning analysisPrepare, review, and post tax-reputed company journal entries and accrualsreputed company reports and reputed company validation and user-acceptance testing for reputed company changes affecting reporting and tax processesIdentify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities across reporting and tax workflows, in partnership with the finance technology functionreputed company other reputed company tasks or reputed company as neededResponsible for process improvement and working with other departments to improve interdepartmental processes. Skills
