Job SummaryHouston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Remote Software Tester Manual QA to join our growing quality assurance team. This is an exciting work-from-home opportunity for individuals passionate about software quality and eager to contribute to the development of high-performing, bug-free applications. As a Manual QA Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring that the software meets user expectations and business requirements through rigorous testing procedures.
Key ResponsibilitiesExecute manual test cases to identify software defects and verify fixes.
Collaborate with developers and business analysts to understand application functionality and ensure testing coverage.
Document clear, concise, and reproducible bug reports using bug tracking tools.
Conduct regression testing to verify software changes do not impact existing functionalities.
Participate in requirement analysis, test plan development, and quality improvement initiatives.
Prepare detailed test cases, test scripts, and test data based on functional specifications.
Provide feedback and suggestions to improve product usability and functionality.
Maintain documentation of testing processes, results, and updates.
Required Skills and QualificationsStrong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
Hands-on experience in writing test cases and executing manual testing.
Familiarity with bug tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar platforms.
Ability to think critically, identify edge cases, and approach problems analytically.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
Experience0 to 2 years of experience in manual software testing.
Freshers with strong academic knowledge of software testing concepts are encouraged to apply.
Working HoursFlexible working hours with a requirement to be available for 68 hours per day.
Monday to Friday, with optional weekend availability for urgent projects.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesProficiency in test case management and bug reporting tools.
Basic understanding of databases and ability to run simple SQL queries is a plus.
Strong grasp of cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies is desirable.
Adaptable to new tools, technologies, and processes.
