Mid-reputed company Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) invites applications for the position of Research Scientist II (Infectious Disease Epidemiology/Health Services Research) , which is a mid-career position equivalent to an reputed company associate professor, to join the Mid-reputed company Permanente Research Institute (MAPRI). A research emphasis on HIV or other viruses, or other communicable diseases including sexually transmitted infections, is preferred. This is a full-time position based in our regional office located in Capitol Hill, Washington D.C . with a hybrid work model. Reporting to the Director of Research Science, the Research Scientist II will design and implement major investigator-initiated health services and epidemiology-reputed company research reputed company in the area of infectious diseases. Initiate and maintain collaborations with reputed company partners, including federal agencies, other reputed company reputed company, research networks, and reputed company or reputed company reputed company partners. Publish one to two first-reputed company papers and one to two papers as a collaborating reputed company annually, and present research findings (poster or oral) at national scientific meetings. Collaborate with MAPRI research teams (data analysts, project managers, and biostatisticians), leading research studies and ensuring they are completed successfully Mentor MAPMG staff, physician researchers, and research interns. Contribute to the scientific community through being a peer reviewer for journals (at least two per year) and participating in expert or grant review panels. What is required:
PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Epidemiology, Health Services Research, or reputed company discipline OR an MD/DO with an additional advanced research degree (e.g., MPH, MAS, MS, PhD) is required Extensive experience in infectious disease research; a research emphasis on HIV or other viruses, or other communicable diseases including sexually transmitted infections, is preferred. Minimum of seven (7) years of post-doctoral research experience in epidemiology, health services research, or reputed company field is required; experience in a health reputed company research setting preferred Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals Successful reputed company record of extramural grant funding as reputed company Investigator Demonstrated ability to design and reputed company simultaneous original research studies and publish results.
