01Responsibilities
The successful candidate must have a deep understanding of insurance principles and regulations and be able to effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders. As an important member of the team, the candidate would be responsible for the growth and development of other members of the team, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the team and organization.
Analyzing data and trends to help clients make informed decisions of the optimal reinsurance strategies they should adoptPerforming ground up analysis and loss ratio investigations to build client portfolio understandingBuild comprehensive loss models based on experience and exposure analysis in accordance with clients risk profiles and industry standardsEstimate reinsurance treaty pricing for clients mainly in Property, Casualty, Marine, Aerospace, etc. lines of business (depending on the market/team)Reinsurance structure optimisation and profitability analysis to manage earnings volatility and solvency risk for clientsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure actuarial principles and techniques are accurately implemented in product development and pricing strategiesGenerate reports and presentations summarizing analyses and findings to support business decision-makingContribute towards the Industry studies and benchmarking activities, that aim at promoting Gallagher Re as thought leaders in the reinsurance marketplaceProvide valuable insights and support to clients while continuously improving processes through innovation in the form of tool development and automation of Actuarial analysis
About you
Qualifications:
Graduate/Post-graduate, preferably in Stats/Maths/Eco/CommerceA member of any recognized Actuarial institute like Institute of Faculties of Actuaries UK (IFoA), Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI), etc.3-6 Actuarial exams cleared as per the new Curriculum, along with zeal of pursuing the qualification further.Relevant experience of 1 - 3 yearsExcellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel is essential.Knowledge of VBA, SQL, Python, R, Power BI etc. is an added advantage.
