Risk Data Scientist

As the Manager of Data Science at Visa, you will play a crucial role in the Central Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMEA) Data Science risk team. Your main responsibility will be to champion data-driven strategies within the region. You will be involved in building predictive and prescriptive models, developing prototypes, and creating storyboards to promote data-driven solutions for Visa clients, particularly focusing on credit, fraud, and operational risks.

- Develop and implement best-in-class risk analytic solutions, including scoring and non-scoring models - Create powerful insights through data visualization and storyboarding - Collaborate with Business Managers, Consultants, and Data Scientists to strategize, co-create, deploy, and benefit from data-driven solutions - Work with regional and global Data Science teams to develop high-quality analytic products and solutions - Introduce cutting-edge tools and techniques for generating business insights and stay at the forefront of technological advancements in Data Science - Process alternate data sources/platforms and develop advanced prediction algorithms - Collaborate with internal Technology partners and Data Engineering function to leverage Visas internal technology platforms and data - Manage workload and provide prioritization guidance for project flow to enhance process efficiency - Develop and share global best practices and knowledge management within the team - Socialize scalable and market-demanding ideas and approaches - Champion internal requirements related to Model Risk Management, Visa Analytics Rules, and Global Privacy standards Qualification Required: - Minimum of 6 years of experience in applying Machine Learning solutions to business problems - Post-graduate degree (Masters or PhD) in quantitative fields such as Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, etc. - Excellent understanding of quantitative techniques applied to Risk Management in the Card and Payments industry - Familiarity with Risk and Performance Indicators - Experience in the Card & Payments markets, preferably in payments, retail banking, or retail merchant industries - Expert knowledge of data, market intelligence, business intelligence, and AI-driven tools and technologies - Strong project management skills and experience - Ability to travel within CEMEA on short notice (Note: Additional details about the company were not provided in the job description.)
