Your Role
As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for promoting a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and helping prevent workplace incidents through proactive risk management and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce workplace health and safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety assessments
- Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports
- Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and employee safety training
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and company HSE standards
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, and regulatory documentation
- Support emergency response planning and evacuation procedures
- Promote employee awareness of safe work practices and hazard reporting
- Collaborate with supervisors, managers, and operational teams to improve safety performance
- Participate in risk assessments, permit-to-work systems, and safety meetings
