Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Salesperson role based at The Gayatri Tile Gallery in Erode. The Salesperson will welcome customers, understand their requirements, and guide them in selecting suitable tile and related products. Daily tasks include explaining product features and pricing, preparing quotations, processing orders and invoices, and coordinating with the inventory team to ensure product availability. The role also involves maintaining showroom displays, following up with leads and existing customers, and supporting basic after-sales service such as clarifying product usage or installation guidelines. The Salesperson is expected to meet sales targets, maintain accurate records, and contribute to a professional and customer-focused showroom environment. Qualifications Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and communicate clearly with a diverse range of customers.Sales and negotiation capabilities, including experience in retail or showroom sales, and comfort working with targets and follow-up activities.Basic product understanding or willingness to learn about tiles, finishes, and applications, with attention to detail in presenting options and specifications.Good numeracy and basic computer skills for preparing quotations, billing, and maintaining sales records.Ability to work on-site full time in Erode, including standing for extended periods and managing a steady flow of customers.Effective verbal communication skills in local languages and English as relevant to the customer base.Prior experience in building materials, home dcor, or related retail sectors is an advantage, but motivated entry-level candidates are also encouraged to apply. .
