Role Overview The SAP HANA Application Security Consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting security and authorization concepts for SAP S/4HANA systems. The role focuses on role design, Fiori security, access provisioning, and compliance, working closely with business and functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain end-to-end security and role concepts for SAP S/4HANA, including:
Business roles
Technical roles
Perform role design, cleanup, and simplification aligned with SAP S/4HANA best practices.
Configure and manage SAP Fiori security, including:
Catalogs
Groups
Spaces and Pages
OData service authorizations
Manage and maintain S/4HANA-specific authorization objects.
Support user administration activities, including:
Access provisioning
Role assignments
Troubleshooting authorization issues
Work closely with Business Process Owners (BPOs) and functional teams to align security with business requirements.
Support transport management, security testing, and cutover activities.
Prepare and maintain security documentation, including:
Role design documents
Process flow documents and PDDs
Audit evidence and compliance reports
Mandatory Skills
Strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Application Security
In-depth knowledge of:
SAP authorization concepts
Role design methodologies for S/4HANA
Experience with SAP Fiori security configuration
Preferred Skills
Experience working in ECC to S/4HANA conversion or implementation projects
Exposure to audit and compliance requirements
Understanding of transport and deployment processes in SAP landscapes
