Seeking Billing & Quality Assurance Specialist for Healthcare Organization

We are a mental health / behavioral health company that provides therapy services in North Carolina, predominantely for substance abuse treatment for individuals with Medicaid insurance. We are seeking a Quality Assurance & Compliance Specialist / Experienced Biller who is: - Very knoweldgable with mental health in North Carolina - Lives in Eastern North Carolina, or is willing to travel to Eastern North Carolina at least 1-2 times per month (or as needed) - Has a very strong background in quality assurance in medicaid mental healthcare - Has a very strong background in billing in medicaid mental healthcare The Quality Assurance & Compliance Manager is a fractional, part-time specialist role designed to strengthen the QA/QI function at our mental and behavioral healthcare organization by providing high-level analysis and oversight of compliance systems, Medicaid authorizations, documentation integrity, billing submissions and reporting, and audit readiness. Working under the Vice President, this role leads quality monitoring efforts, identifies compliance risks, and drives corrective action to ensure our organization maintains audit-ready standards with MCOs, DHHS, and Medicaid regulatory bodies. This position is remote-first with the ability to travel as needed (once per month on average), to Greenville, NC and surrounding service areas for onsite audits, walkthroughs, and leadership-level compliance reviews.
