We are seeking a highly motivated and detailed oriented Senior Accountant to support newly established legal entity in India for Supply Chain Management (SCM). This role will support and execute foundational accounting processes, ensuring compliant and accurate financial reporting, and supporting business growth. You will be responsible for preparing all aspects of accounting, preparing monthly financial reports, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. This role will work closely with regional finance leads to align consistent and scalable processes across SCM entities.
While similar global entities exist, this individual will be responsible for executing and supporting established processes specific to India, working closely with regional and headquarters finance teams.
Assist with the setup and ongoing accounting operations for newly established legal entity in India.
Perform and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in alignment with the close calendar and company policies.
Prepare daily accounting operational activities including preparing cash reconciliations, accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions, payments, and recording of revenue, costs, and expenses.
Collaborate with regional and headquarters finance teams to support the implementation and adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Work with external service providers (tax advisors, auditors, and local authorities) to ensure statutory compliance and filings.
Assist with analyzing financial results, cash flow, and variances.
Support process improvements and system implementations in partnership with Operations and IT
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Experience following established processes and identifying opportunities for improvement
Understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP or IFRS), financial reporting requirements, and local financial reporting requirements.
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.
Experience working with ERP systems; with Workday or Oracle a plus.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required.3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within supply chain, logistics, or multinational environments.Experience supporting international entities or new business setups strongly preferred .
