01Responsibilities
Lead a client/ engagement and deliver high-quality work as per the audit methodology and in line with the client/ engagement team expectations. Demonstrate a strong understanding of aligned client/ engagement and audit methodology while performing various procedures, along with knowledge of audit tools to make execution/ review more effective and meaningful. Develop and maintain productive relationships with the client/ engagement team. Proactively discuss workflow management with the client/ engagement team, allocating juniors to the assigned work and monitoring performance against standards. Monitor utilization for self/ team, budget to actuals, and other operational matters. Demonstrate professionalism, competence and clarity of communication when dealing with the client/ engagement team. Identify opportunities to improve the scope of work. Standardize execution/ review processes along with leveraging best practices across ones aligned client/ engagements or beyond. Motivate and lead team members, identify and foster key talents, coach and supervise team members. Be responsible for various operational matters related to client/ engagements aligned. Lead by example. Qualifications: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Semi Qualified CA Articleship with other Big4 or mid-tier accounting firms Qualified candidates - 2+ years of relevant work experience in US Audits Non-Qualified candidates - 3+ years of relevant work experience in US Audits Deep knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) Proficiency in using various audit tools and applications Experience Requirement: Primary Focus: Nonprofit (NFP) accounting, with strong exposure to Year-End (YB) / Yellow Book engagements Hands-on experience with Single Audits in accordance with Uniform Guidance, covering both federal and state funding Solid understanding of net asset classifications, including- With donor restrictions and Without donor restrictions Experience working with diverse nonprofit client types, including: Universities and higher education institutions Schools and academies Research corporations Clinical practices / healthcare organizations Mental health centers Preferred Skills: Excellent communication skills Effective interpersonal, risk management, facilitation and presentation skills Project management, leadership, coaching, counselling and supervisory skills Robust logical and reasoning skills Ability to spread positive work culture, teaming and live Firm values Ability to quickly form strong working relationship with colleagues in India and global teams Unlocking Growth with SENTIENT .
