Role Overview
As a L1- Transaction Monitoring Senior Process Executive / Subject Matter Expert / Team Leader, you will utilize your 27 years of hands-on expertise in Transaction Monitoring across Corporate and Wholesale Banking environments. Your role will involve conducting detailed reviews of customer account activity flagged by automated monitoring systems to identify potential unusual or suspicious transactions in line with regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete the initial review of customer account activity flagged by the Banks automated monitoring system.
- Identify potential unusual activities in the account.
- Write a comprehensive analysis/risk assessment of the account activity, including a detailed disposition for closing alerts or escalating them for further review.
- Ensure all procedural and guidance documents are current and compliant with regulatory and legal requirements as well as Global Standards.
- Maintain a high degree of knowledge of appropriate BSA and OFAC laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with the Banks Financial Intelligence Unit to identify and report potentially suspicious activity.
- Engage with branch personnel regarding unusual activity to reach appropriate resolutions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Alert Disposition Team Leader and BSA Manager of the Financial Intelligence Unit.
- Prior experience with reviewing and working alerts, preferably in the financial intelligence unit of a financial institution, and analyzing or managing financial crime investigative processes is required.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English at a professional level is necessary.
