Role Overview
You should have at least 4-9 years of experience in Investment Banking, specifically in Hedge Fund, Capital markets, and Fund Accounting. Experience with Reconciliation & Resolution teams for both Cash and Position is essential. Previous experience in Investment Banking and AMCs handling Fund Accounting operations is preferred. Understanding of Investment Manager and Custody business is a plus. You must possess sound knowledge of Capital markets and trade flow, as well as knowledge of Derivative products. Familiarity with upstream and downstream processes is required, including knowledge of NAV/Custody processes. Knowledge of Geneva application and ARO (EZOPS) would be an added advantage. Business Risk management, Controls, and Governance knowledge is crucial for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Review the completion status of daily Cash and Position Reconciliation between fund and Broker, Client Recons if any.
- Review Recon controls to ensure new accounts setup completion in the Recon system and raise appropriate tickets to the support team for Recon setup.
- Review closure of breaks to ensure alignment with specified controls.
- Review Unreconciled items, ensuring proofing is done and valid justifications are provided.
- Review and validate deliverables completion within specified SLAs.
- Create process flows for various sub-processes to establish a repository for future trainings.
- Utilize strong Excel - MIS Reporting skills and Word Documents - Standard operating procedures.
- Be willing to work in shifts and showcase strong SME skills to troubleshoot process issues.
- Drive process excellence initiatives for the team and manage Client expectations proactively.
- Provide integrated, value-added services to clients with a strong customer service and operational focus.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor / Masters in Accounting/MBA Finance.
- NISM/NSE Certifications.
- CISI Certifications.
- MOOC Certifications.
- Lean/Six sigma certification is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with the required applications.
- Good domain skills in reconciliation processes, especially market value recon, transaction, and cost recon.
- Exposure to portfolio accounting, General ledger systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Research & resolution on all reconciliation breaks.
- Familiarity with trading instruments like Equities, Options, Bonds, Futures, Spots and Forwards, Bank Debts, Credit Default Swaps (CDS), and Contract for Difference (CFD Swaps).
- Sound understanding of Risk excellence measures within the organization.
- Understanding of Robotics & BPM.
- Good interpersonal, communication, and people management skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with BU / Global head and manage SLAs.
