Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer with 69 years of professional software development experience, including at least 5 years of strong hands-on experience with Node.js. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of backend architecture, API development, databases, cloud technologies, and scalable distributed systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend applications using Node.js.Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.Develop clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code.Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.Design efficient database schemas, queries, indexing, and data-access layers.Implement authentication, authorization, security, and data protection best practices.Optimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and resource utilization.Integrate third-party APIs and external services.Work with message queues/event-driven systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS.Deploy and manage backend services using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architectural decisions.Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.Mentor junior and mid-level developers and contribute to engineering best practices.Collaborate closely with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps, product managers, and other stakeholders.Required Skills & Qualifications
69 years of overall experience in backend/software development.5+ years of professional experience with Node.js.Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.Strong experience with Express.js, NestJS, or similar Node.js frameworks.Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, authentication, and authorization.Good knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.Experience designing scalable and distributed backend systems.Strong understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture.Experience with Git and modern software development practices.Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.Good understanding of cloud services, preferably AWS.Experience writing unit, integration, and API tests.Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Good communication and team-collaboration skills.Preferred / Nice-to-Have
Experience with TypeScript.Experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, and SQS.Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ.Knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.Experience with system design and high-availability architectures.Knowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry.Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Compensation: 600,000.00 - 1,000,000.00 per year
