Role Overview
As a Business Analyst in the Alternative Asset and Capital Market, you will play a crucial role in developing various aspects of the business. Your primary responsibility will involve analyzing past, present, and future business trends to establish strategies and solutions for achieving desired outcomes. You will collaborate with internal business units to understand their challenges and provide effective solutions to address them.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with prospective and current clients and business partners to comprehend workflows and client needs.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts in Alternative Assets and Private Credit Markets to conduct business transformation assessments.
- Perform Current State vs Future State Assessments of business systems.
- Utilize technology, specifically SQL, to develop and enhance business applications and processes.
- Document business requirements through journey and story mapping, as well as epic and story writing.
- Design solutions with actionable acceptance criteria.
- Break down complex business problems, understand business needs, and align digital solutions accordingly.
- Prioritize components to complete a program and maintain backlogs for expected product outcomes.
- Analyze current business and system workflows, identify opportunities to meet project objectives, and recommend future approaches.
- Organize and prioritize steps to remedy issues and develop user definitions, use cases, and workflow diagrams.
- Participate in business acceptance testing, triage pre and post-code release defects, and ensure product implementation readiness.
- Collaborate with key business partners to support product implementation and readiness.
- Provide support to team members and diagnose complexities in Alternative Asset Operations.
- Bring Techno-Functional expertise to brainstorm solutions with the technical team.
Qualification Required:
- 8-10 years of experience in Business Analysis.
- B Tech from Tier 1 institution or Masters degree in Business, Finance, or a related field from a Tier 1 institution.
- Experience in Multinational Financial companies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Client-facing skills.
- Proficiency in SQL for data analysis.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in fund accounting and reporting.
- Familiarity with ALM tools like JIRA, Rally, Azure Boards.
- Experience working with distributed teams in an Agile development environment.
