About the Role Our client, a leading insurance provider in Nagpur, Maharashtra , is seeking a seasoned Senior Claims Adjuster to manage complex and high-value insurance claims. This critical role involves thoroughly investigating, evaluating, and negotiating claims to ensure fair and timely resolution. You will be responsible for assessing liability, determining coverage, and managing the claims process from initiation to settlement. We are looking for an experienced professional with exceptional negotiation skills, a strong understanding of insurance policies, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. This position is based in our Nagpur, Maharashtra office, fostering team synergy and direct collaboration. This role requires on-site presence to facilitate field assessments and direct interaction with clients and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Investigate, evaluate, and settle complex insurance claims in accordance with policy provisions and company guidelines. Conduct thorough fact-finding, including site inspections, interviews with claimants and witnesses, and review of relevant documentation. Determine coverage, liability, and damages associated with each claim. Negotiate settlements with claimants, policyholders, and their representatives. Manage a caseload of diverse and challenging claims, ensuring prompt and equitable resolution. Maintain accurate and detailed claim files, documenting all activities and communications. Liaise with legal counsel, external experts, and other stakeholders as needed. Identify potential subrogation or salvage opportunities. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations pertaining to claims handling. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior adjusters. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a claims adjuster, with a focus on property and casualty or auto claims. Possession of relevant adjuster licenses as required by law in Nagpur, Maharashtra . In-depth knowledge of insurance policies, legal principles, and claims investigation techniques. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize a high volume of claims. Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
