Role Overview
As a Cloud DevOps Engineer at our client, a global leading financial services company, with 150+ years of history, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable, secure, and cost-optimized cloud infrastructure. Your role will involve deep expertise in AWS services, cloud governance, and automation. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to ensure alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust cloud architectures aligned with organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain cloud governance frameworks, strategies, and optimization plans.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Administer existing AWS instances and deploy new infrastructure components (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, etc.).
- Configure, monitor, and optimize cloud resources for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues to maintain high availability.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, Terraform, and other tools.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for consistent and repeatable deployments.
- Streamline operational processes through automation and continuous integration.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Security, and Product Engineering.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Communicate complex cloud solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Establish monitoring frameworks for cloud performance and resource utilization.
- Conduct regular reviews to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure proactive issue detection and resolution.
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in AWS cloud services and architecture.
- Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Cloud Practitioner).
- Proven experience in cloud governance, strategy development, and optimization.
- Hands-on expertise in scripting and automation (Python, Terraform).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with experience in cross-functional environments.
