Senior Cloud Engineer GCP VP

You will be a Senior Cloud Engineer at Deutsche Bank's eDiscovery and Archiving Technology group in Pune, India. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, building, and operating secure, resilient, and compliant Google Cloud Platform (GCP) solutions to support large scale data ingestion, processing, analytics, and enterprise archiving platforms. Your responsibilities will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure solutions meet bank policies and regulatory expectations while accelerating data platform adoption and delivery on GCP.

- Design and deploy scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available architectures on GCP using the Google Cloud Well Architected Framework - Design and build end-to-end data pipelines using Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow), Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage - Engineer containerized and serverless platforms using GKE and Cloud Run - Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) at scale by authoring modular Terraform - Implement comprehensive observability across data and platform services using Google Cloud Observability - Perform proactive performance tuning, capacity planning, and root cause analysis - Design governed data platforms leveraging BigQuery for analytics - Collaborate with architects and control partners to translate target architecture into actionable engineering epics - Partner with product and delivery teams to define golden paths and reusable platform capabilities - Communicate technical and data architecture content for senior stakeholders and global engineering teams Qualification Required: - Certified GCP Professional Cloud Engineer (preferred) - Proven experience engineering and operating large scale, production GCP environments in regulated enterprise contexts - Strong hands-on expertise in data engineering on GCP - Advanced proficiency in Python and Java for automation and data processing - Deep hands-on expertise in Terraform, GKE, and Cloud Run - Expertise in designing platforms with comprehensive observability - DevOps and platform engineering experience - Clear written architecture and operational documentation Please note that the additional details of the company were not included in the provided job description.
