Fresh vision. Real impact. Come build it with us. Job Description ABOUT THE ROLE Freshworks is looking for a Senior Analyst- Cybersecurity to join our GTM (Go-To-Market) Cybersecurity team. You'll sit at the intersection of Cybersecurity, customer trust, and go-to-market acting as a subject matter expert who gives prospective and existing customers confidence and assurance in Freshworks' security posture. Reporting to the Manager, Cybersecurity, you'll be a hands-on technical security advisor: fielding customer questions, responding to RFPs and security questionnaires, and partnering with Security Engineering and Product Engineering to translate technical security detail into clear, customer-ready answers. This is an execution-focused role within a growing team you'll work inside the playbooks, templates, and systems the team builds, sharpening them through direct customer contact. WHAT YOU'LL DO Be a trusted technical security advisor. Serve as a subject matter expert on cloud security, AWS architecture, and product security posture for prospective and existing customers. Own the customer security dialogue. Respond to cybersecurity questionnaires, RFIs/RFPs, and other due diligence documents, and join customer calls jointly with Sales, Pre-Sales, Channel Sales, Customer Success, and Deals Desk teams. Be the single point of contact for cloud security asks. Work closely with Security Engineering and Product Engineering as the primary liaison for cloud security and AWS architecture-related customer questions. Create reusable security collateral. Partner with Security Engineering and Product Engineering to build customer-shareable technical security content based on recurring customer asks. Review contracts with a security lens. Perform contract reviews (MSA, DPA, BAA, and related agreements) for cybersecurity obligations relevant to the role. Coach and upskill the team. Support existing team members in strengthening their technical security knowledge. Work across time zones. Align to different regions/shifts as needed, given the breadth of time zones Freshworks' customers span. Qualifications 47 years of experience in Cybersecurity, with depth in Application Security Architecture, Security Pre-Sales, or Solutioning. Experience with cloud services/technology (AWS) as it relates to cybersecurity. Good understanding of web frameworks and architecture. Any experience in Pre-Sales or Solution Engineering within a SaaS setup is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills able to communicate concisely and unambiguously with both technical and non-technical audiences. Comfort working in a dynamic, fast-growing environment, with the discipline to respond to customers contextually and on time. Self-sufficient and able to work with minimal direct supervision. Flexibility to work different shifts/regions this is a mandatory requirement of the role. Technical Skills Working knowledge of cloud security fundamentals on AWS (IAM, VPC, KMS, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Security Hub). Familiarity with web application security fundamentals: OWASP Top 10, secure SDLC basics, API security, and encryption standards (TLS, AES-256, key management). General understanding of SaaS security models, multi-tenant architecture, and shared responsibility frameworks. Exposure to security questionnaire and trust center platforms (e.g., Loopio, Responsive, SafeBase) and GRC tools (e.g., Drata, Vanta) is a plus. Ability to read and interpret security documentation, SOC 2 audit reports, and architecture diagrams. Good with automation comfortable using scripting, workflow builders, or no-code/low-code tools to speed up repetitive tasks. Working understanding of AI/GenAI concepts and how they intersect with data security and privacy, to speak confidently to customer questions in this area. Certifications (Nice to have) CompTIA Security+ or equivalent foundational certification AWS Certified .
