01Role Overview
The Senior Director of Supply Chain &
Commercial Capabilities is a senior leadership role overseeing multi-functional capabilities including supply chain, customer service, product support, quality/regulatory affairs, and sales & marketing operations for Medlines India capability center. This executive ensures that these support functions deliver operational excellence and are tightly aligned with global business priorities. The position reports to Medline Indias SVP (site leader) responsible for these functions, while also working closely with these business functions.
The Senior
Director will partner closely with global stakeholders to align services with business priorities, expand capabilities delivered from India, and enhance the sophistication and effectiveness of support functions. As a senior leader, this position will also oversee talent development, organizational capability building, and culture initiatives to support long-term business objectives.
Key responsibilities: 1.
Strategic
Leadership &
Business Direction Define and drive the vision and strategy for multiple support functions (Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Service, Product Support, QA/RA, Sales Operations, etc.) Partner cohesively to meet Medlines global and regional business needs to understand evolving needs and ensure alignment on services, priorities, and long-term vision.
Expanding and enhancing the capabilities delivered from India in line with long-term business objectives.
Build strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities towards Supply Chain and Commercial. 2.
Operational
Excellence &
Functional Oversight Oversee functions to ensure seamless integration, performance, and delivery across all teams.
Strong understanding of business processes in supply chain and related commercial support functions (such as order-to-cash, customer service workflows, sales operations processes) to drive efficiencies, effectiveness and right level of business process-reengineering Establish KPIs and performance metrics tailored to each functional area; drive continuous improvement and elevate quality, accuracy, and process consistency.
Foster a culture of innovation and process excellence to streamline operations and expand the sophistication of services delivered from India.
Identify and organize new areas of capability that can be transitioned or expanded to India, ensuring capability, compliance, and readiness. 3.
Global Stakeholder
Management Build strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders across business units and regions.
Bring expertise in areas across supply chain and commercial to be trusted partner for senior management of Medline.
Act as a champion for the India teams, promoting the value, capability, and potential to global leaders.
Facilitate cross-regional collaboration to promote standardization, knowledge sharing, and service expansion beyond home regions. 4.
Talent
Leadership &
Culture Building Lead, mentor, and develop leaders and high-potential talent across the function.
Conduct capability assessments and build short- and long-term talent roadmaps to ensure readiness for future growth.
Drive culture-building initiatives that reinforce collaboration, customer focus, innovation, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
Model leadership behaviors and cultivate an inclusive and high-performing workplace.
Qualifications &
Experience 1520+ years of experience in global operations, shared services/GBS, or multi-functional leadership roles.
Proven experience leading senior leaders/directors and managing large multi-functional teams.
