Summary
As a Senior Frontend Engineer IoT, you will design and develop secure, scalable, and intuitive web applications for connected industrial equipment and cloud-based service platforms focused on remote monitoring and predictive maintenance.
Using React, Flask, and AWS services including Cognito, Amplify, ECS, you will build asset health dashboards, alert systems, diagnostics, and service-oriented user experiences.
You will collaborate with the Data Scientist, Platform Manager, Service Engineers, Site Operations teams, and internal IT teams to support predictive analytics, cybersecurity requirements, and integrations with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Navision, and Business Central.
Prior experience with Industrial IoT, remote monitoring, telemetry, or predictive maintenance platforms will be an added advantage.
Main tasks & key responsibilities
Design and develop responsive frontend applications and service dashboards for Industrial IoT and predictive maintenance platforms using React.
Convert UX concepts and Figma designs into productionready UI screens.
Collaborate with Platform Manager, Data Scientist, backend developers, Service, Operations, and IT teams to deliver secure cloudconnected applications.
Work in Agile 2week sprint cycles with daily standups, backlog grooming, reviews, and planning sessions.
Develop secure frontend features using AWS services including Cognito with focus on high availability and secure authentication.
Build UI screens using Material UI components and develop custom frontend elements where needed for improved user experience.
Coordinate APIs, filters, and data presentation layers for predictive analytics and customer insights.
Proactively monitor and improve UI responsiveness, login reliability, and overall user experience.
Create and maintain frontend validation and test scripts for reliable production deployments.
Use JIRA, Bitbucket, and development/review environments for daily task management, code reviews, and deployments.
Continuously explore new frontend, cloud, and cybersecurity technologies to improve platform scalability and usability.
Mandatory
5 - 10 years of software product development experience with strong product engineering mindset
Strong handson expertise in React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized deployments
Handson AWS cloud development experience with good understanding of Cognito authentication and authorization
Strong awareness of web application cybersecurity, secure coding, and user authentication practices
Experience with Git, Bitbucket, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills
Preferred
Exposure to Industrial IoT, telemetry, or remote monitoring platforms
Familiarity with SCADA/HMIstyle dashboards and serviceoriented applications
Awareness of MQTT, OPCUA, or industrial communication concepts
Experience with alert, event, and diagnostics visualization systems
Experience developing APIs using Flask backend
AWS certifications and cloud security knowledge are highly preferred
Experience with Material UI (MUI) component libraries and custom frontend component development

Qualifications
Bachelors degree in engineering (Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, Instrumentation, or related fields)
