About the job Senior Frontend Engineer – Chat SDK Lead Job Title: Frontend Developer Location: Jaipur Experience: 5–10 Years Must Have skills: React 19 (Latest version), ShadCN, Tailwind CSS, Typescript, Tanstack Query Role Summary We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer – Chat SDK Lead to own a React-based component library powering AI chat interfaces across the organization. The role involves technical ownership of the SDK, release management, real-time streaming capabilities, testing, and direct collaboration with consumer engineering teams. Mandatory Skills • 5+ years of hands-on experience building and shipping React component libraries or SDKs consumed by multiple teams. • Strong expertise in TypeScript, including generics, discriminated unions, strict mode, and declaration emit. • Strong experience with React and modern frontend architecture. • Hands-on experience with SSE/streaming protocols and real-time application development. • Strong understanding of AbortController lifecycle and cancellation patterns. • Experience with real-time state management using React Query, useReducer, Context, or equivalent approaches. • Experience designing and maintaining public APIs/component libraries with a focus on backward compatibility and extensibility. • Hands-on experience with release management, including Semantic Versioning (semver), changelogs, breaking-change management, and monorepo tooling. • Experience with Turborepo, Changesets, or equivalent monorepo/release management tools. • Ability to lead technical discussions with product/engineering teams, negotiate API contracts and technical trade-offs, and prepare migration documentation. • Strong experience with automated testing for complex frontend/public API surfaces. Preferred Skills • Experience building AI/LLM chat interfaces, including streaming completions and tool-call rendering. • Experience with React 19, including Server Component boundaries and "use client" patterns. • Experience with multi-model/provider integrations or AI gateway abstractions. • Experience with Storybook, Biome and tsdown. • Experience with TanStack React Query. • Exposure to OpenAI SSE and AG-UI/custom streaming events. • Experience with local-first storage and client-side data eviction strategies. • Experience with Portkey AI Gateway or similar multi-provider abstraction layers. Tech Stack TypeScript 5.7 | React 19 | tsdown | Turborepo | Biome | Storybook 10 | TanStack React Query | SSE | Changesets | Private npm Registry Key Responsibilities • Own the technical direction and architecture of the Chat SDK. • Design and maintain streaming interfaces and real-time state management. • Handle complex streaming scenarios including tool-call correlation and provider-specific events. • Own SDK release lifecycle, versioning and breaking-change coordination. • Establish and maintain comprehensive automated test coverage. • Work directly with consumer teams on integration, troubleshooting, API contracts and extensibility. • Create migration guides and technical documentation for SDK consumers.
