Senior Full Stack Developer
Warptech AI Solutions | Pune (Hybrid) | Full-time
About Warptech AI Solutions
Warptech is a systems design and product engineering studio building operating intelligence platforms — custom software that automates workflows, connects fragmented data, and gives businesses real visibility into how they actually run. We don't ship disconnected tools bolted onto a company's existing mess; we replace the mess with one integrated, AI-enhanced system built for how the business actually operates.
Our portfolio spans HR and workforce platforms (onboarding, payroll, scheduling), smart building and property operations systems, and modular solutions for healthcare, logistics, and legal firms — alongside telco gaming and Direct Carrier Billing products with a quarter-million registered users. We're trusted by ASX-listed companies, international HR organizations, and growth-stage startups across Southeast Asia and the UK.
Whether a client needs their first MVP, a modernization of internal tools, or a new digital business unit stood up from scratch, Warptech is the build partner from concept to deployment — and AI isn't an afterthought bolted on at the end, it's baked into the architecture from day one.
We're a small, senior team. You'll ship systems clients actually run their operations on, not tickets.
The Role
We're hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer to work directly with the Head of Technology, take ownership of client and product engineering across our portfolio, and eventually help lead a small development team. This is a builder-first role in a startup environment — you'll move between hands-on coding, architecture decisions, and mentoring junior developers.
You'll report directly to the Head of Technology.
What You'll Do
Design and build full-stack features end-to-end across our React/Next.js frontends and Node.js/NestJS (and Python/FastAPI where relevant) backends
Architect systems with production concerns baked in from day one — auth, multi-tenant data isolation, observability, integrations — not bolted on later
Build AI-native product features as a core part of the job, not a side project — LLM API integration, RAG pipelines, workflow automation, and agentic features that power our “operating intelligence” platforms
Work across SQL and NoSQL data stores, making sound tradeoffs on schema design and data modeling for HR, workforce, facilities, and healthcare/logistics domains
Contribute to infrastructure and deployment decisions (AWS, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, basic DevOps hygiene)
Review code, set technical standards, and mentor junior developers as the team grows
Work directly with clients — ASX-listed companies, HR organizations, and growth-stage startups — translating operational pain points into working systems
Use AI coding tools as part of your daily workflow to build faster without cutting corners on quality
Take partial ownership of a client engagement or product line, not just assigned tasks
Must-Have Skills
Frontend
· Strong hands-on experience with React.js and Next.js — App Router, SSR/SSG, performance patterns; working knowledge of Angular or Vue a plus
Backend
· Solid Node.js experience; working knowledge of NestJS or Express; comfort with Python (FastAPI/Flask) for AI-adjacent services
AI/LLM Integration
· Practical experience building features on top of LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) — prompt design, RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and handling failure/fallback/cost concerns in production
Databases
· Comfortable working with both SQL (Postgres/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB or similar) — schema design, indexing, query performance
Infra/DevOps
· Practical understanding of AWS basics (EC2, S3, RDS or equivalent), Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, environment management
Version Control
· Strong Git/GitHub workflow — branching strategy, PR discipline, code review habits
AI-Assisted Development
· Practical, daily use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) — for scaffolding, debugging, and code review, not just autocomplete
Experience
· ~5 years of full-stack development, with at least some of it in startup or small-team environments
Good to Have
Exposure to agile/scrum practices and comfort with sprint-based delivery
Prior experience leading or mentoring 1-2 junior developers
Experience with workflow automation, BI dashboards, or systems that connect and normalize data across multiple sources
Familiarity with multi-tenant SaaS architecture
Experience with payment integrations, webhooks, or systems requiring idempotency and retry logic
Basic understanding of message queues / background job systems (BullMQ, SQS, etc.)
Exposure to monitoring/observability tooling (logs, alerts, dashboards)
Domain exposure to HR/workforce tech, smart building/IoT, healthcare, or legal-tech systems
What We're Really Looking For
Own outcomes, not just code — think about what breaks once a client's team is actually running their operations on it
Communicate directly with clients and stakeholders when needed — this isn't a role behind three layers of management
Make judgment calls independently — startup pace means you won't always have someone to ask
Treat AI as a real engineering surface — not a demo feature, but something with cost, latency, and failure modes to be designed around
Be comfortable with ambiguity — requirements will change across very different client domains, and you'll help shape them, not just receive them
Show leadership instincts — even without a formal team yet, you should be someone others would want to learn from
What We Offer
Direct access to the Head of Technology and real influence over technical direction — not a cog-in-a-machine role
Ownership across the full product lifecycle, across a genuinely varied portfolio (HR/workforce, smart buildings, healthcare, logistics, legal-tech, telco gaming)
Exposure to real AI-native product engineering, not just AI-assisted coding
A growth path toward technical leadership as the team scales
Hybrid work model based in Pune
How to Apply
Share your resume, GitHub profile, and (if available) links to production systems you've built or significantly contributed to. We're especially interested in what you owned end-to-end, not just what you were assigned.
