01Overview

This Job is based in Australia Senior Lecturer Policy (School of Population Health) Employment Type: Continuing, Part - time (21 hours a week)Remuneration: $161,619 base, plus 17% superannuation and leave loading Work rights required: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Candidates must hold full rights to work in Australia to be considered for this position.Location: Kensington, Sydney School of Population Health The School of Population Health (SPH) UNSW is internationally recognised as a leader in public health with research strengths across a range of health disciplines, including infectious diseases and immunisation. SPH has a core focus to investigate and provide new knowledge to help inform policy, governance, organisation, work, and leadership in the health sector through cross disciplinary research with both academia and industry. SPH also has strong associations with research centres and institutes throughout UNSW Medicine. Details of the role A Senior Lecturer (Level C) will conduct high quality research and make a significant contribution to educational excellence in the School and Faculty. This opportunity is suited to an established academic with a strong track record of educational innovation, curriculum development, and impactful research. You will contribute to the student experience through high-quality teaching, mentoring, and supervision while driving research excellence through publications, collaborations, and funding success. Working closely with colleagues, industry, and professional partners, you will help shape future-focused learning programs, develop research networks, and build capability across the discipline. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to scholarship, student outcomes, and the broader academic and professional community. The role of Senior Lecturer reports to Head of School and has no direct reports. Some Key Skills Required A PhD in health policy, policy studies, or a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches, development and delivery of courses and programs, at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.Experience of implementing educational technologies and online delivery methods.Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence and fostering this in others.Demonstrated success in initiating curriculum development and improvement.Demonstrated experience with industry or work-integrated learning.Demonstrated track record in research with outcomes of high quality and high impact with clear evidence of the desire and ability to continually achieve research excellence as well as the capacity for research leadership.Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships.
